We encourage our patients to download our new patient forms and fill them out prior to your appointment. This will limit the number of forms you have to fill out in person and save you at least 30 minutes of time at our office. Upon entering our office, our front office will welcome you and take your paperwork and necessary identification materials (drivers license and insurance cards). Your paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition, we will also need to fill out our HIPAA and other consent forms.
Next, you will have a consultation with our Case Manager and our Nurse Practitioner, Melissa Pridemore, FNP to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Medical provider to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how our integrated care can meet your goals.
After your consultation with Melissa Pridemore, FNP, we will perform a complete medical and orthopedic examination. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Depending on your specific condition, Dr. Carter will take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed to see the results of their X-rays. In some cases, the patient identifies their mis-alignments and degeneration areas.
At the conclusion of all of your exams and X-rays we will schedule you for your follow up appointment the next day if possible. Any Co-Pays/Deductibles will be collected at the end of the visit.

After your report of findings has been discussed and you have a treatment plan in place you will be ready for your first day of treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, decompression traction, spinal correction therapy, physical therapy, deep or soft tissue massage, and myofacial release. Treatment is tailored from your exam findings to not only treat but correct your biomechanical problems. We offer early, lunch time and late hours to fit your busy schedules.
We have comprehensive treatment plans. All Insurance companies require a diagnosis of your condition, a plan of action, short and long term goals, and a beginning and ending treatment date. The doctor will suggest a treatment plan or a wellness program. Wellness programs are not covered by insurance, therefore we have wellness program payment options for our patients. Our treatment plans are designed to correct your problems and not to just treat your symptoms. We have an integrated approach to get you out of pain fast so we can begin to correct your problems.
